Faithful Preparer

Faithful Preparer
God Shows Us the Way
by Brenda D Flowers

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (John 14: 3, NKJV)

Fall in Tennessee is a beautiful time of year, especially when our deciduous trees are at their peak of color. I recently enjoyed the vibrant orange, red and yellow leaf colors while hiking at Fall Creek Falls State Park and Savage Gulf Natural Area. I was hiking with two of my cousins and several other women from their hiking club, Casey County Kentucky Explorers, who were visiting my beloved Tennessee.

If you have ever been hiking, you know the value of a well-marked trail. The colored markings on the trees help hikers to know which way to go especially when there are two trails joining.

Believe me, I have been on trails which haven’t been blazed well or have been unkept and it was very difficult to know which way to go on the trail. Hikers can easily get lost on such trails.

Driving home alone from my hiking trip, I was thinking about how God has been faithful to prepare the way for us to reach our glorious eternal destination with Him. Throughout God’s Word are the signs marking the way. From Genesis to Revelation, The Way is clear.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14: 6, NKJV)

God has been faithful to show us the Way. He blazed His trail to salvation and eternal life with the red blood of His Son, Jesus, on the tree of Calvary.

Are we faithful to believe and follow God’s Way?

God has not only shown us the way but He has given Himself as our personal Guide. Praise God! He doesn’t want any of us to be lost.

I pray many more people will have their spiritual eyes opened and will be willing to step on the trail of faith today.

Imagine the glorious sights we will see when we reach the place God has prepared for us.

We can be assured God rewards those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6b) He is faithful!
