And the Glory Forever

Distractions! Distractions all around
Taking my eyes away from what is true.

Distractions! Distractions all around
Numbing my ears so I can’t hear You.

Oh, God! Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
You, the three in One;

You are the Trinity I trust,
Not a false version.

As a Christian, am I awake
To what is going on?

The enemy’s tactics to tempt me
And all from God’s Son.

“Angel of light” glitters, shines;
Deceitfully entices.

A form of godliness, a form
of truth. ..evil tactics

Blinding men and women with
Intoxicating “enlightenment”.

What’s my part? Your Word says
We are being sent.

Jesus, long ago You taught the words
We are now to pray.

By example, You gave us the model
You showed the true way.

In intimacy, honoring Abba, seeking His
Will, forgiveness for sin.

Knowing His is the kingdom, the power
And the glory forever. Amen.

Matthew 6: 9-15 (NKJV)
In this manner, therefore, pray:
   Our Father in heaven,
   Hallowed be Your name.
   Your kingdom come.
   Your will be done
   On earth as it is in heaven.
   Give us this day our daily bread.
