Trust Jesus as King

John 18:36 NASB Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.”

Do you think in the realm of His kingdom? If so, blessings to grow in His grace and knowledge to know and do your part in the Spirit until He comes.

I hear: “You don’t think in the realm of a kingdom but you need to.”

This hurts Lord, especially after writing on the Kingdom last year.
Lord help me think in the realm of Your kingdom with understanding. Amen.

Then I heard, “And the government will be on My shoulders,” Is.9:6,
“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth,” Matt.28:18
“I delivered you from the kingdom of darkness and transferred you to the kingdom of My Son,” Col.1:13

Looking up the word kingdom in Dictionary.com the following stood out to me: “1. a state or government having a king or queen as its head. 5. the spiritual sovereignty of God or Christ. 6. the domain over which the spiritual sovereignty of God or Christ extends, whether in heaven or on earth.

Placing trust in Jesus Christ as King is our primary focus. Look at this powerful word from The Message in Eph.1:21-23 All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.

Our resurrected Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is on the throne in heaven. We hear about it, talk about it, study it. In daily living, let us ask, Am I living Christ trusting Him as King?

He wants to rule from heaven on earth through us in His body, the church, the bride of Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Prayer: Thank You Father in heaven for the exhortation to trust Jesus as King. Confirm Your word to me by Your Spirit that as Jesus called the disciples in Luke 9:1-2, I am called and given power and authority over demons and to heal diseases. Empower me to proclaim the kingdom of God and perform healing. Bless me now to go forth with trust in You Jesus as King and follow You by the Spirit. Amen.
