My Inheritance Was Prepared
by Brenda D. Flowers
Have you ever felt alone, torn, worn, unworthy, lost or forlorn?
Like a scrap of paper: trashed, thrown away, hidden in the darkness of waste, and forgotten.
I have….
But God knew where I was.
He felt my torn places, my pain . . . my shame.
Yet He knew my worth.
My inheritance was prepared.
I was not meant to be left, lost and lonely.
He had a plan for this scrap. . . for me.
So He reached deep down and picked me up out of the dark into the light
to write a message for others to see…to touch lives with love, hope and dignity.
Then. . .
To help bring more scraps out of the darkness to His Light
to be posted brightly!
He has a purpose and plan for us to share.
Do you see?
We have a part in His story, marked by His hand writing
and empowered by His anointing.
LORD, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. (Psalm 16: 5a, NLT)
We were never meant to be considered scraps. We were created to be beautiful pieces of God’s masterpiece.
As God reaches down to us through His Son, we have a choice to believe and reach out to Him.
Our inheritance is not meant to be left separated in the dark but instead united with Christ’s body in the precious Light of eternity.
No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice.
My body rests in safety.
For you will not leave my soul among the dead
or allow your holy one to rot in the grave.
You will show me the way of life,
granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with you forever. (Psalm 16: 9-11, NLT)
ABBA, we come to rejoice and thank You for loving us so much that You reached down to us through sending Your Son. Help us realize the depth of Your plan for a wonderful inheritance. Help us mature as Your anointed sons and daughters through the revelation of who we are in Christ. Thank You that our future is bright.
In Jesus’s mighty name we pray. Amen
I’m reading this in the doctors office. My
Heart is glad and my soul is rejoicing after
